Ben is an incredible baseball player, and an all around great young man. If you met him his freshman year when he started playing varsity baseball, or if you just met him today as a senior, he is still the same guy. He has earned many honors in his 4 years playing baseball, including being Honorable mention All State his sophmore and junior year for pitching, but has remained the same humble level headed kid he always was. He was just chosen as one of the Colorado Rockies Top 50 senior baseball players as a pitcher, which is an incredible honor for any senior let alone a 2A player, it will be the most thrilling day of his life...to get the chance to pitch at Coors Field. Ben has worked hard at his game, wanting to move on to the next level and play college baseball. All his hard work is starting to pay off as he signed his Letter of Intent to play baseball for Western Nebraska Community College, with the hopes of going Division 1 in two years. He has maintained good grades, and a part-time job while playing baseball during the school year and in the summer. During the summers he also helps coach the kids in his rural community, as well as umpiring games. He tries to be a good role model both on and off the field. Ben is very deserving of being the Loaf-n-Jug player of the week.
